Digital Art

A relatively new media to scour has been the area of digital art. This format hasn’t been around for long because computers have been around for a relatively short period of time, comparative to the overall human history. The media in this area began with graphics card manufacturers and developers of programs like Adobe. These rendering companies created the first platforms for the digital art to be made. Today, nearly everyone from a hobbyist to professionals can make their way using the internet as their medium and the modern high resolution computer screens as their delivery devices.

Digital art websites are common. The themes in these websites are as broad as the human emotional spectrum. There are the complex and the unexplainable 3-d images and designs. Sometimes, there are landscapes that resemble earth, but contain the flavor and imagination of the artist. Other times space and science fiction space-scapes are abundant. The flexibility with this medium is that you can create anything. The coloring and shading is sometimes more difficult to get because you have to create the item, but then you also have to create the atmosphere, including the lighting. This medium is attempting to capture the fantasy and imaginative side of the art world, but as of yet has not developed into the avant-garde.
