Contemporary Art Gallery

The contemporary art gallery is a format in which to see what some of the most creative minds in our society are imagining. These forms of art span all mediums and exist in the cutting edge, that which the history books tell us would be invented by the avant garde. Overall, their pieces represent inter spatial thinking in the form of all the various mediums we have come to acknowledge and all of the mixing that the mainstream viewer does not accept or understand. The common mediums for the gallery include paints of all forms, sculpting or both traditional clay as well as metalworking and combinations of these materials. The list is nearly endless, as an artist can fabricate art out of whatever tools they are given. Even their instruments can be turned to art.

A contemporary art gallery attempts to purify the setting in which a piece of art is housed, and then to expose the individual viewer to the piece. Some artists prefer to have their art housed in the abundance of things or in the functioning world. Pieces that are bought and purchased by corporate groups attempt to integrate the art into their surroundings because it diversifies their environment. Some artists are exclusionary and want you to only view the art, but not to interact with it. Some artists want their piece to spark some thoughts within you. Whatever the end result of the art, the gallery attempt to showcase the piece and gather funds from those who want to view as well as potentially to sell the pieces, if an investor becomes interested.
